Five ways to find the perfect stock holiday music this season:

We all love (dread?) the Holiday (stock) music season, don’t we folks?  It can be as solemn as a moonlight snowfall, or as gaudy as a thousand lights on a doublewide. Tis’ the season for topical videos, advertising spots, webpage updates, and greetings of all kinds.

You can choose the road high or low, but however you like to roll, here’s five tips for finding the perfect holiday stock music track for your next ad, explainer video, video marketing or whatever project:

#1. The Classics

Many of what we consider to be the standards of the holidays reside in the public domain, this means that most license catalogs will have versions of them ranging from orchestral to indie-rock.  Any of our artists can try their hand at breathing life into an old familiar tune with no issues to worry about. You’ll be happy to know that ‘Jingle Bells’, ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’, ‘Auld Lang Syne’, and the ‘Hava Nagila’ are all in the public domain. At Tunefruit we have some fine and varied examples of these favorites, and many more to boot.

Click here to listen to see We Wish You a Merry Christmas Stock Music

#2. Extra Special Moments

Need a holiday stock music track that says “buy her a diamond, or suffer the consequences”?  Try using keywords like ‘romance’, ‘love’, ‘timeless’, or ‘spouse’. You will quickly have so much pure, uncut musical sentiment you may need a glass of water so you don’t choke. Roll a little moonlit snowfall footage, or a box with a bow, and you are halfway to being a holiday hero.

#3 Kids, Kids, Kids.

It’s all about the littlest whippersnappers at holiday time. Search for keywords like ‘kids playing’, ‘happiness’, ‘playtime’, or even ‘baby animals’ and get ready to party. Nothing says celebration like kids going nuts and having the time of their little lives. We have a ridiculous amount of fantastic kids jams, even the Grinchy-est of us will have our hearts melted. Even if you don’t need one for the holidays, listen to a few to ‘lighten up’ and psyche yourself up for the holidays (and all the many, so many things on your to-do list)

#4 The Soundalike

Most of the catchiest modern holiday songs are buried in copyright dollars, not snow. If you can’t get Sinatra singing your favorite, you can find a similar sounding track that you can easily license and use to your hearts’ content. Try searching for related keywords, like ‘sleigh-bells’, ‘snow’, or ‘gifts’, then try genres like ‘rock’ or ‘business corporate’.  A large variety of very pleasant tracks will pop up, and you will leave satisfied and with your budget intact.

#5 think outside the box, or the gift-box, or whatever…

If you want your video or site to say “holidays” without resorting to sleigh-bells or reindeer hoofs or some other obvious choice, try it from another angle.  Find a stock music track that’s got a wholesome family vibe, with the type of flavor you want, like a down-home acoustic instrumental.  When you pair it with imagery of a table with candles and fixins, or the oldest kid home from college with a present (and a sack of laundry), it will easily snuggle down into ‘holiday’ lane.

At Tunefruit we have all these options for fantastic holiday music and many more. Come explore and test them out for free. Songs so catchy they’ll hang around like Aunt Edna’s Famous Fruitcake.

“Loving it” Tunefruit Weekly Stock Music Playlist for October 7th

Tunefruit-The-Hotness2

September’s officially behind us, and that means autumn is on the way. While I desperately await the blessed reprieve from the blistering summer heat, take a break with these awesome stock music tracks.

Flashy ColorsMLMusic

Who’s ready for Friday night? I know I sure am, and there’s no better way to show it than with this anthemic dance track. It doesn’t matter if you’re full of youth or just young at heart, everyone can get their party on to these hot beats. Well, unless you’re some kind of anti-party robot, but then what are you doing on a website for super fresh stock music tracks? Shoo.

Blue DuskMellowstu

It’s a cool night in LA and you’re out for a slow drive along the Pacific Coast Highway. The windows are all down and the breezy ocean air blows through your hair. Lean back, drape your wrist over the steering wheel, and let the sultry sound of jazz take you away. Do pay attention to the road though, seriously.

Catching Up With Old FriendsRob McAllister

Bring out your child-at-heart, and look at the world through fresh eyes. Be inspired with curiosity, wonder, and a sense of magic. We’ve all grown up a little too much I think, and it’s about time to go back to that childlike awe again.

FractalsDavid B.

It’s like this track is straight off the CSI: Portland soundtrack. It’s technologic and mysterious, yet modern and minimal. Just mind the crime scene, wouldn’t want to end up as a suspect. Or maybe you do, I don’t know your life.

Cooking Show BackgroundAGsoundtrax

Seldom is a title more apt. With a french café vibe and a strolling bass line, this stock track is ideal for Food Network originals and Saturday morning talk shows alike. But don’t just stop there. What about a quirky animated film about cooking rats, dinosaur-themed developmental children’s broadcasting, or even those weird television channels designed for dogs? The possibilities are endless!

“Loving it” Tunefruit Weekly Stock Music Playlist for September 30th

Tunefruit-The-Hotness2

It’s beginning to look a bit like autumn these days, and you know what that means: it’s almost time for my personal favorite holiday, Halloween! It’s a time when everything gets a little more creepy, and the full moon spells supernatural trouble for us mortals. Plus, and most importantly, there’s scores of halloween candy. So sit back with some cinnamon hot chocolate and a slice of pumpkin pie, and check out these spooky stock music tracks.

Gears In MotionFrancesco Giovannangelo

I don’t want to invite any uncanny comparisons here, but eat your heart out, Burton. It’s a track that’s full of halloween spirit, complete with creepy music box and scurrying strings. Just remember, it’s not a party without the Pumpkin King.

Haunted CircusZevWMusic

There’s one blustery evening in autumn when the wind howls and the trees moan, and all the ghoulish guys and ghostly gals meet for their annual halloween ball. The elegant undead dancers glide under the pale moon, and the skeletons rattle their bones. Don’t mind the zombies; they’ll just shuffle around, but they do their best. Won’t you join them on this frightful night?

HalloweenSergiiVasylchenko

It’s getting spooky around here, and all the ghouls and goblins are coming out to play, causing all kinds of mischief and mayhem. Sure, those puckish little gremlins are entertaining at first, but pretty soon they’ll be wrecking the whole neighborhood. In the meantime, this aptly-named track makes a great backdrop for all your halloween misadventures.

Evil Dark Metal Alex Paul

Under the red moon a dark rider on a pale horse rises from the fires of hell, standing ready with an army of undead. Alright, so I’m being a bit dramatic, but what’s halloween without a little brash embellishment? This track certainly calls to mind a sense of dread and doom, perfect for your over the top bad guys.

Ghost HuntersGuidoNegraszus

It’s like CSI: Halloween edition, perfect for investigating all sorts of ghostly hauntings and strange supernatural occurrences. Things that go bump in the night better beware, because we won’t rest until these mysteries are put to bed. Well, not me anyways; I’ll hang back here and “supervise” while you guys check out that haunted house. I’m not scared or anything, I’m just allergic to cobwebs, dust, and terrifying monsters. You got this.

The DJ vs The VampireFoldySongs

Bring halloween into the future with this banging drum and bass track, perfect for fighting cartoon zombies and animated ghouls alike. Whether you’re a time-traveling duo fighting space vampires on the moon, or a crypt-diver facing down a reawakened mummy in retro-futuristic New York (why not?), this track will keep your blood racing and guns blazing long enough to outlast any post-apocalyptic nightmares. What time is it? Zombie killin’ time.

FearsAcousticMusicProductions

On edge yet? Well I am, and let me tell you this track isn’t calming my nerves at all. It’s eerie, discordant, and just plain unsettling. It evokes a sense of confusion and bewilderment, and as the piano drifts and clangs around, you really get the feeling that something isn’t right here. Is that little girl in the corner supposed to be here? Who’s blood is that wall covered in? My invitation says dinner party, but I’m pretty sure this is a haunted house. I did not sign up for this.

“Loving it” Tunefruit Weekly Stock Music Playlist for August 17th

Tunefruit-The-Hotness

It’s that time yet again for another set of hot stock music tracks fresh from the curators’ oven. We’ve got your weekly serving of selections for all your production music needs, and I’m talking about some premium delicacies. Go ahead, dig right in and sample the tasty goodness of these delicious picks.

Dub Of The CosmosTheNationalPool

The year is 2084, and mankind has established their first colony on the moon. What will they do now? Kick back and chill out of course. Alright, so it’s actually 2015 and we haven’t even landed on Mars (thanks NASA), but that doesn’t mean you can’t still relax with this atmospheric blend of chill vibes and reggae styles

Intriguing Indie AcousticErick_McNerney

Wailing vocals drift over a somber acoustic guitar in this dreary and dismal track. It’s awfully lonesome out there sometimes, but now you can convey just how desperate things really are. Gosh, now I really need a pick-me-up.

Cheekysimonastevens

Mischievous fairies? Tricky gnomes? Puckish elves? We can’t help you with your pest control problem, but we do have just the right background for the wacky and whimsical misadventures you’ll have trying to get rid of them yourself.

Mellow Cosmoshakan-eriksson

Aww yeah, this psychedelic stock track sounds like it could have been sampled off a vinyl record straight from the 70’s, complete with electric organ and a sexy bass riff. I’m still waiting for parachute pants and shag carpet to come back in style (it will, I swear), but in the meantime check out this far out groove to get you in the mood.

Full Throttle – Anton G.

Bullets are flying through an Arabian bazaar and the action hero of your choice effortlessly dodges a barrage of blows from a couple of buff bad guys. Or maybe he’s calmly maneuvering a sleek and sexy sports car in a high-speed chase through the dusty, sand-strewn streets. Wait, now he’s having drinks in Mumbai while waiting for his foreign contact when he glimpses a spy from a rival corporation. Whatever the case, this track’s ready for whatever you’re throwing at it (much like your action hero).

“Loving it” Tunefruit Weekly Stock Music Playlist for August 11th

Tunefruit-The-Hotness
Folks, here’s the latest batch of top-notch stock music tracks that we just had to highlight for your earholes this week! Looking for music for your explainer videos, production music for your agency projects? You have hit the mother lode…of stock music goodness.

Awake” – Seastock

You hear that? That’s the sound of summer nights spent kicking it with your first love on a California beach. Remember those days? This track certainly does, and it’s filled to the brim with youthful bliss and vintage styles. Best served with a tall glass of cherry coke and teenage daydreams.

Waltz Fantasy” – ilyatruhanov

A whimsical cello plays in an enchanted forest. Are those fairies flitting about, or just fireflies? Who knows, but this track’s jazz stylings would feel right at home in any of Grimm’s fantastic tales. Just watch out for the other creatures of the forest.

Clock Parts – David B.

This track brings to mind a child who wanders into a clockmaker’s shop, full of amazing trinkets and magical devices. The ticking machines begin to form rhythms and melodies, inspiring a sense of wonder and awe. Bring out your inner child by checking out this delightfully wistful track.

Snatch The Suitcase – Damnwell

Crack team of experts? Check. Sexy getaway car? Check. Suitcase full of money? We’re heading that way. The only thing missing now is some groovy background music to kick this plan into action, and this track is guaranteed to make you feel like one smooth criminal.

Sly Cat – Stern Muzik

Before we wrap this up, let’s go down the rabbit hole with this mischievous and playful track. We’ll join Alice on her way back to Wonderland, and just in time for tea. It’s perfect for moments that just get curiouser and curiouser…

“Loving it” Tunefruit Weekly Stock Music Playlist for July 20th

Tunefruit-The-Hotness2

It’s July, and you’re a little parched, but what will quench this thirst? Well buddy, Super Duper Amazing Stock Music Straight From The Cow (uh….well, really our amazing artists, but we were heading the whole milk-from-the-cow route) will do the job.

Check out our latest HOT tracks that we wanted to highlight this week:

Prost! Oktoberfest Drinking Music” – Matthew Reid

OK, it’s not October (Oktober?) yet, but that’s no reason to not enjoy a cold one and this spirited drinking-compliant polka.  As the title says, “Prost!” (that means “cheers” – a salutation intended to be accompanied by a beer.)  Bottoms up!

Rainbow After the Rain” – Evdokim

Ukulele tracks are all the rage these days.  Bonus points for handclaps.  This cute, bouncy and extremely cheery track brings not only all that, but some whistling as an added bonus.  Piles of smiles to brighten your day.

For Triumph or Tragedy” – vpedulla

You would think that “Triumph” and “Tragedy” would not represent the same piece of music, but in this case they absolutely do.  This epic and heroic orchestral track sounds a little like the olympics, as set in Middle Earth.

Pure Joy” – John Judd

If Katy Perry made a track for a kickstarter campaign it would probably sounds something like this.  It’s teen energy and youthful spunk combine with a positive uplifting spirit that would bring motivation to any presentation.

Crazy Train” – ikoliks

Best described as “Punk Rock Surf Music” – at least up until the unexpectedly “Wild West” sounding breakdown in the middle.  Perhaps this is what it would sound like if No Doubt and Green Day had a child that scored a Quentin Tarantino film.

Show Them You care…With Valentine’s Day Stock Music Tracks From Tunefruit

Ahhh Valentine’s Day…the single solitary day each year when we get to show those who matter most in our lives how much they mean to us. No, we’re not talking about  our spouses, we’re talking about our customers! At Tunefruit, we love celebrating Valentine’s Day because it’s on this day that we get to showcase some of our favorite sweet and sentimental tunes- tunes that can help you build a long-lasting connection with the special men and women in your life you just couldn’t be without- your customers. And when your customers make a connection between you and these sexy Valentine’s Day sounds, they’ll be forever yours.

At Tunefruit, finding the right Valentine’s Day-inspired track is simple; not only do we have a wide range of lovely, romantic musical selections, but each track has been hand curated by a team of musical experts (and after listening to hundreds of hours of love songs and dreamy ballads to prep for the holiday, they’re really in the mood to make some serious commitments to some very lucky individuals)

But before you dive headfirst into Tunefruit’s vast ocean of musical-love, let’s talk about the three types of Valentines Day Tracks. We hope this makes your music search even easier.

The “Up-tempo, Energetic” Valentine’s Stock Music Track

Sometimes, Valentine’s Day can be a good time to tell someone, “I know we’re still getting to know each other, but I think you’re really swell.” If you want to show you care without coming on too strong, use a fun, peppy track like Brighter Day in you Valentine’s-inspired video.

The, “Candlelit Dinner” Valentine’s Day Stock Music Track

Who can deny the magic of a passionate evening spent in the company of that special someone. Whenever I hear a song like Valentine’s Romanza, it makes me want to do something nice for someone that means a lot to me. Maybe this Valentine’s Day, I’ll make a reservation for two at that new restaurant that just opened up downtown. I think it’s called, Fat Hank’s Rib Depot. Use this track in you video if you want to tell your customers, “You mean so much to me.” Ribs are romantic, right?

The, “I love you, marry me” Valentine’s Stock Music Track

This type of track is a real tearjerker. Every time I hear a song like Wedding Vows, I well up inside with feelings of tenderness, and cry out, “I just want to be loved!” Then I call in sick from work, put on sweatpants and eat and entire pint of Ben and Jerry’s Cherry Garcia ice cream while watching Love Actually. Use this song in your Valentine’s Day track to tell your customers, “I want to be with you forever.”

So there you have it. This Valentine’s Day, we hope your heart is filled with love, and the bond you share with your customers is stronger than ever. Take these next two weeks to really evaluate your most important relationships because before you know it, the holiday will have passed you by, and you’ll have to wait an entire year for another chance to say, “I love you.”

And from all of us at Tunefruit, happy Valentine’s Day!
