Tunefruit is Going Bananas: Does Mother’s Day music even exist?

Tunefruit-Is-Going-Bananas

Hey there.

It’s sort of funny to think about, but does Mother’s Day really have a specific type of music that the holiday is associated with?

Is it all happy ukulele and bouncy rhythms like this track: Ukulele Music For Mother’s Day

Or maybe it’s lovey-dovey (is that how you spell that totally crazy word thing?) and kind-hearted piano music: Piano Music For Mother’s Day

You know what, it’s probably more about the strings and harps: String and Harp Music for Mother’s Day

Maybe it doesn’t matter…your mom will love you know matter what type of music you license for this gloriously awesome day of mom celebration.

Tunefruit Daily Freshpick: Heights

Check it out: Heights

Sometimes you just need a thoughtful, beautiful royalty free music track for your project, right? Like…you want everyone who sees your project to start balling like a big baby. This track is probably the going to get you the tears you are so desperately looking for. Singing about being ‘scared of heights’, the song is really about being able (or not being able) to take that next step in life. Melody Ann Jones pairs her voice with simple piano and guitar to help punctuate the heartache and worry that the song conveys.

Sometimes, just sometimes, we gents over here at Tunefruit HQ run across a killer use of music and picture that makes those little hairs on our arms stand on end. This is one of those times. I know, I know, you are sick and tired of hearing everyone (including your mom) talk about dubstep. I mean, now that you mention it, didn’t Taylor Swift just drop a dubstep track on the world….hold…..checking….googling…ah, here it is:

Taylor Swift Dubstep

Anyways…as I was saying, I know you are all tired of hearing about it, but you need to watch this video. Presumably, this 9-year old (guessing, since I don’t see any of those handy gas station door measuring stickers in the video) is able to conjure the spirit of UK dubstep with her stuffed battalion of teddy bears. And they have obviously worked on their very Britney Spears-ish dance routine.

Little dubstep dancer, we salute you.

And…in case you are looking to license some dubstep from Tunefruit: Dubstep Playlist

Tunefruit is Going Bananas: Psy Gangnam Style

I mean, what needs to be said here?

The only real question that remains: Should our curators at Tunefruit use Psy Gangnam Style as a searchable tag for our customers? Will this little piece of pop culture make it to the new year?

Tunefruit Knows The Hotness…Katy Perry

Yeah, we all know it. Katy Perry is hot. Not just physically, though…she has the goods musically. Her and Dr. Luke have racked up a small city’s worth of hits in the last 3 years, including hits like Fireworks, I Kissed A Girl, California Gurls, Teenage Dream, Hot n Cold, and Waking up in Vegas (sorry, we can’t include ET..too much Kanye!). These tracks have a lot in common, including big kick drums, snares that smack your face and sugary sweet vocals and guitars. All of it together makes for a ready-made pop smash.

We’ve compiled a playlist of songs that have that same kind of sweet, kiss-your-girlfriend-in-the-rain, drive the 101 with the top down, quit-your-job-to-follow-your-dream magic. What are you waiting for…go listen!

Tunefruit Daily Freshpicks: Finish What You Started

Check it out: Finish What You Started

Raucous, vicious, and downright….DOWNHOME. That’s right, if you need a royalty free music track that takes a turn for the country, this might be a match. The female vocalist brings to mind Miranda Lambert and Martina McBride (esteemed company, eh?), while the band is pure Nashville gold. You can hear the cans of Miller be cracked open as we speak at state fairs across the country, everyone ready to kick back and hear about a good country woman done wrong!
